Would you like to spent your holiday on an island where no vehicles will be found anywhere? If you do, then the island of Hydra is the right place for you.

This very lovely holiday house is located in a quiet neighbourhood in the town of Hydra overlooking the harbor. The accommodation has a typical local architectural style with a tiled roof and thick white washed walls keeping it cool during summer without the need of air-conditioning. All rooms provide port and sea view. Relax in the large yard with the giant white Bougainvillea or in the shaded garden with citrus trees, old olive trees, vines and various Mediterranean plants, both offering plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the magnificent views.

The house is built on three levels with each a separate entrance allowing to come and go without disturbing everybody in the house.

Upper level: Spacious (55 m²), comfortably furnished living room and study leading to terracotta laid terrace. Wooden floor and ceiling. Terrace equipped with outdoor furniture and tent for shading. Great for drinks and dinner.

Middle level: All rooms with stone flooring and wooden ceilings. Kitchen designed in a simple, slightly old-fashioned manner with an old, open brick oven now serving as extra storage room. Equipped with fridge/freezer, small electric oven/grill, two ring hob electric cookers, coffee machine and all necessary kitchen utensils and dishes. Separate dining room, accommodating 6-8 people with a small side sofa. From here stairs take you to the upper level. Twin bedroom with an 'into the rock cut' wall as well as shelved and hanging closets.

Lower level: Hall leading to the master bedroom, bathroom and garden. Fully equipped bathroom with large tub. Master double bedroom (20 m²) overlooking the garden and with a beautiful view of the port. Wooden floor and insulated beam and ream ceiling. Spacious closet equipped with minibar.

The island of Hydra is very special. Do not forget to make walks with the lovely donkeys at the narrow paths of Hydra. Only a five minutes walk from the port - one flight of stairs off the main road - you are offered stunning views of the town, sea and Peloponnesus.

No less than 125 steps are taking you the last bit up to this holiday home making it unapt for disabled people and young children. Phone for incoming and local calls only.
